Plans for coming months.
Morning walks, evening walks and everything in between. I want to be walking more. It does wonders to my mental health and to my creativity. There’s a reason why so many writers and other artists walk a lot. Also I’m reading Landlines by @raynor.winn at the moment and her books always make me want to spend more time outdoors.
This weekend is all about reading and tending to Alice’s needs.
These ladies behind my house are such a joy. I want to jump the fence and cuddle with them.
Trying to read lots lately. And there’s a reason for it, because I’ve decided not to stop at 45 books from my own shelves. I want to read them all and there are 109 of them. I’ve written about this decision in my Substack newsletter (in English) and on my blog (in Polish). But I also have six books at home I’ve brought from the library and I’m trying to read them first, before I start with reading from my TBR seriously. I may bring two of these books back to the library though. Just to be able to get to my #yearofreadingfromhome sooner.
I actually don’t know what to tell you about this book. The writing style is beautiful, it’s like a balm, even though it’s all about difficult subjects. But the writing, or the structure, is a little bit experimental and a bit vague, at least so it feels to me, and I’m not sure I understood the whole message.
Surprise sheep behind my house this morning.
Am I still eating Holiday cookies? Well, yes, yes I do. But it’s apt as I’m still reading my Christmas present. I’m only about 100 pages in. It’s such a strange story, I’m not sure I understand all of it.
A rare dry day so cycled to work. It was hard, with the wind working against me I had a snail pace. But I made it on time anyway.
