A day spent in the library of Utrecht (work training, so less fun than you would think). Luckily they had ‘real’ literature there (pic. 5).
Sometimes life forces us through change, sometimes it shows us that something else is possible and on other times still, it can give us a small nudge in the right direction and help us realise what it is that we truly want.
I’ve read somewhere that a change is only possible from the place of acceptance of your current situation. So maybe I just have to accept these piles on the floor instead of making myself to read them first, before I’m allowed to read anything else?
Some books leave me with so many thoughts. Not necessarily about their plot, but about writing, editing and what’s most important in a story.
Would I like to spend this rainy Saturday eating cake, reading and cuddling Alice. Why, yes, how did you guess.
Remember my plan to read as many books as possible from my own shelves and piles? Well, I’m reading mostly e-books.
A bit of quiet reading before this day begins. First the tinnitus and hyperacusis therapy and then work at the library. On the days like this I try to have a very slow morning, but also stick to my routine. Otherwise it’s so easy for others things to take over my attention.
I woke up to the garden covered in snow. Decided I needed some comfort food breakfast and some comfort reading time. It works well together with the sun shining on my back. At least there’s that.
I’ve just posted my Morning Stories on Substack:
