“The forgetting is bigger than the memory.”

Reading is going well and as it is a long weekend here in the Netherlands (Pentecost), and I’m on holiday, I just may have another reading day. I’m actually tempted to make this whole week a holiday reading week. I’m still tired and maybe I just need to give in and rest. Isn’t that what holiday is for?

Alice has mastered the holidaying. She moves between the sofa and the garden, finding the best spots to be lazy.

I’ve added a few books to my library TBR yesterday. It’s all because of one quiet day at work when started checking what we had from the books I had on my to-read-list and then thought that I want to read them soon and here we are.

I’ve started reading this the day before yesterday and I loved it immediately. It accompanied me on the long train journeys and in bed yesterday and today I’ve started my day with it.

A quick breakfast before a long day and after not enough sleep. It’s going to be half a day from hell and then a nice compensation for it before a long train journey home.

I’ve started on The Journals of Sylvia Plath today. It’s going to be a slow read, not only because the book is massive, but also because reading someone’s journals needs time. I can’t read too many entries in one go, so I’ll probably be reading a few every day.

I’ve been thinking about Deborah Levy since I’ve read her Living Autobiographies. I actually wanted to re-read them this summer, but then I thought that maybe I could read her fiction first. I’ve found these three of her books in my library and took them home.
