If you say you want to read more and then you binge watch series for hours, what are you actually saying? When you say you want to write and then never set a pen to paper (or fingers to the keyboard), what are you actually saying? For me you’re saying that you don’t really want what you say you want.
If you want to read more, you need to turn off the TV and pick up a book. You need to make time to read. If you want to write, you need to write. If you really want something, you need to do it, you need to make time for it, you need to keep doing it.
There is no easy way. There is no magic trick. Nobody can teach you do things you say you want to do. Only you can make it happen. If you really want something, you need to go and get it, work for it, make it your reality. There is no other way.
What is that you want?
What are you doing instead?
What can you change?
Be honest with yourself. If you lie to yourself about it, how can you be sure you really know what you want? Maybe it’s not what you think it is. Maybe that’s the reason you weren’t doing it in the first place. You need to look deep and now for sure that this is it. This is what you want. Because it’s not an easy road to walk on. It’s going to be hard, you’ll fall back into your old habits, you’ll have to start again.
But if you truly want this. It will be all worth it.
So now, tell me. What will be your first step?
