If I hear/read one more time “I can’t wait to get back to normal” I may scream. This is our normal, it’s a new normal, but this is it. Accept it. Stop fighting it, learn to live with it and in the middle of it. This pandemic isn’t going anywhere soon, and when it’s gone, we may have another one. So instead of waiting for going back to normal, maybe we should start to live our lives here and now.
I don’t have any work, I see my savings disappear, but I’m not waiting for the pandemic to be over. I’m looking for opportunities, I’m thinking of ways I can earn money, I’m trying. Every single day, I’m simply trying to figure out how I’m going to make this work.
I know it’s not easy, but we can’t just sit and wait. We don’t know how long it’s going to take and anyway, we’re not going back to how it was. At least I hope so. I still hope that we are learning something here and that we will change a lot in the way we work, commute and travel. I’m certainly not keen on going back to how the things were.
The scientists are saying that it can be next autumn before the Covid pandemic is over. Next autumn! I’m not going to wait that long to start doing what I can to have work, to earn money, to live the life that brings me closer to my vision.
Ask yourself how do you want your life to look like. Not after the pandemic, but right now, in this moment. And then find a way to get there. Start making those small steps, every day. Stop waiting for the pandemic to be over.
